How do I place an order?
  • On our Web site, search for the publication you wish to purchase and click on the icon that says Add to Cart. When you are done shopping, click on the icon that says Checkout and follow the prompts.
  • Call us toll-free at 1-800-767-9090 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, Mon.-Fri.).
  • Fax your order to 1-888-767-8080.
  • Mail your order to The Center for Learning, P.O. Box 910, Villa Maria, PA 16155.


  • How do I know if my order went through?
    The Web site will send you an automatic e-mail confirming that your order was processed. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please call Customer Service at 1-800-767-9090 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, Mon.-Fri.) or e-mail us at customerservice@centerforlearning.org.

    What methods of payment do you accept?
    All orders shipped to an individual's home address or anywhere outside the United States or Canada must be prepaid, including shipping charges. For prepaid orders we accept checks, money orders, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express. Payment must be in U.S. funds.

    Orders shipped to schools/institutions may be billed. Accounts are payable in 30 days. Purchase Order numbers are requested. No shipments are made on accounts with past due balances.

    How much do you charge for shipping?

    DOMESTIC SHIPPING

    Our minimum shipping charge for any standard domestic order is $6.00. (Orders going to Alaska or Hawaii must choose UPS Second Day Air and should look under Rush Orders.) Shipping charges are calculated by the amount of your order and the method of shipping you choose. See the chart below:

    Standard Domestic Shipping Rates
    Orders under $200: 10% with a $6.00 minimum
    Orders from $200 to $750: 8%
    Orders over $750: 5%

    Rush Orders
    Second Day Air: 15% with a $12.00 minimum
    Next Day Air: 25% with a $24.00 minimum
    Please note that UPS does not have weekend delivery.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

    Our minimum charge for all international standard shipping is $10.00. Shipping charges are calculated by the amount of your order and the method of shipping that you choose. See the chart below:

    Standard International Shipping (7-10 days)
    Air Letter (or Parcel) Post: 25% with a $10.00 minimum

    Rush Orders for Canada Only
    Global Priority Mail: 25% with a $12.00 minimum



    How will my package be delivered?
  • All domestic orders going to an institution will be delivered by UPS.
  • Orders sent to an individual's home will be delivered either by UPS or the United States Postal Service.
  • All international orders will be sent through the United States Postal Service.


  • When will my order arrive?
  • Orders placed through our Web site are processed within one business day (excluding holidays) of being received.
  • Most standard orders are shipped within 2 days (excluding holidays).
  • Please allow 7-10 days to receive your standard order.
  • Rush orders that are received by noon ET will ship out the same business day.


  • Can I track my order?

    or e-mail us at customerservice@centerforlearning.org to request tracking information for your order.

    How do I return something?

    If for any reason our product does not meet your needs, simply return the item(s) within 60 days of shipment for credit or refund of the merchandise. Merchandise must be saleable with no markings. Shipping charges cannot be refunded.

    Returns should be packaged carefully to ensure safe arrival. The original invoice or a copy of it should be included. Please explain the reason for the return. We recommend using UPS for the return shipping or asking your shipper for a tracking number. We cannot give credit for merchandise until we receive it.

    What should I do if I need to make changes to my order?
    Please call Customer Service at 1-800-767-9090 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, Mon.-Fri.),
    e-mail us at customerservice@centerforlearning.org, or fax us at 1-888-767-8080.

    Please do not go back to your original order on the Web site and make changes, as this may result in duplicate orders.

    How can I become an author for The Center for Learning?
    Thank you for your interest. The Center for Learning is a nonprofit educational publisher of values-based curriculum units for English/language arts, novel/drama, social studies, and religion teachers in public and private schools.

    Can I request complimentary or examination copies?
    We do not offer complimentary or sample copies of any of our publications. You can view the table of contents and a sample lesson of many of our publications on our Web site. We can mail or fax you a sample pack, which includes the introduction, table of contents, and a sample lesson. Simply contact Customer Service to request this service.

    Our 60-day guarantee allows you to order a book and return it in saleable condition for credit or refund of the merchandise. Shipping charges are the customer's responsibility.
