While teenagers may initially focus on the romantic and sexual aspects of marriage, a study of other dimensions can provide a background for future discussions with a potential mate. The purpose of this resource is to show teens the importance of identifying values in a relationship. Some sample sessions are Marriage as a Process, The "Me" That I Present in a Relationship, Dating and Courtship, Cultural and Environmental Filters in Mate Selection, Relationship Enhancement Through Communication Skills, Dealing with Conflict, Marriage as a Sacrament to the World, From Two to Family. Each session has detailed facilitator notes, step-by -step procedures, engaging activities/handouts for processing participant experiences. This resource is easily adaptable to adults!
