Invitations from God is a journal designed to facilitate response to a scriptural call, to recognize special moments as holy invitations from our Creator God, and to draw users into divine intimacy.
Reflecting a Franciscan spirituality, this book is divided into three parts: Listening to Creation, Walking the Inner Journey, and Living the Paschal Mystery. Each part contains six to ten original poems, such as “Old Zacchaeus’s Farewell,” “Autumn Lessons from a Midnight Friend,” and “Tent People.” Each poem is accompanied by a journal suggestion, scriptural reading, and journal space.
Users of this book read through poems and scriptural passages. They write journal entries that reflect insights and ideas and consider the readings’ impact on their own life experiences.
