This resource contains reflection models for catechists, ushers and greeters, pastoral staff, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, the youth leadership team, the RCIA team, parish support staff, and choir members. Gathering groups to reflect on their roles within the parish gives a sense of meaning and importance to their ministry. In addition, group reflection time fosters a deepening sense of cohesiveness and community.
Components of the reflection models include music, opening prayer, scriptural reading, catalyst for reflection, creative activity, sharing time, and closing rite or song.
Participants reflect on scriptural or spiritual readings and personalize the readings and the reflection model theme in the context of their own ministerial experience. In addition, they share insights gained from reflection and from creative activities. Activities include planting a garden, making banners, and writing psalms.
