This journal designed for seventh and eighth graders contains useful information and engaging activities on the theme of personal growth. It encourages students to see themselves in a positive way by reflecting on how God views humanity. Activities incorporate students’ experiences and connect the realities of growth and the beliefs of the Catholic Church.
Reflection titles include the following: Growing Fast; How to Disagree Agreeably; To Be a Teen; Silent Ways We Communicate; and Bringing Others Peace.
Students study and reflect on the theme of personal growth. They develop a greater understanding of themselves, others, God, and their membership in the Catholic Church. Students engage in personal reflection through poem or lyric writing, through illustrating, and through other creative forms of expression. In addition, students take part in discussion and prayer.
