This sixteen-session manual fosters an awareness of God’s presence in the celebration and experience of marriage.
Sessions focus on some of the practical realities concerning emotional, cultural, sexual, economic, and spiritual experiences in marriage. Sessions include pertinent scriptural passages, detailed procedures, and reproducible handouts.
Session titles include the following: Marriage as a Process; Lessons Learned at Home; Marriage as Union of Families; Relationship Enhancement through Communication Skills; From Two to Family; Dealing with Conflict; Ideals of Christian Marriage; The Reality of Christian Marriage; and Marriage as Sacrament to the World.
Through discussion and participation in these sessions, couples preparing for marriage consider compatibility and mutuality of thought about various practical realities. In addition, participants listen to relevant scriptural passages and pray together.
