Description:

Hoot is contemporary fiction about a protagonist with whom many adolescents will identify. Roy Eberhardt moves often due to his father’s job, so he is often the outsider. Roy becomes interested in environmental issues in Florida and tries to make a difference in protecting an endangered species. His success demonstrates that it is possible to overcome obstacles that seem insurmountable.
