Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar is a political play, and political issues are the root of the tragic conflict in the play. Because of his own pride and ambition, Caesar, an undisputed leader of the Roman world in 44 B.C.E., meets an untimely death. The drama deals with why Caesar was murdered and what happened subsequently to his murderers.
