A Man for All Seasons
A Man for All Seasons is a historical drama based on the conflict between King Henry VIII and Sir Thomas More. The play emphasizes the commitment to conscience as opposed to acceptance and adaptation to corruption for comfortable survival. The dilemmas that faced the politicians, noblemen, and commoners in the early sixteenth century have their moral counterparts in today’s world. This play gives students an opportunity to explore their own values and goals in a time in which they are often labeled as materialistic, uncommitted, and self-centered.
