Daily Writing Topics
Daily Writing Topics provides at least 30 topics for each grade level and month (September through June) to encourage students to write about their experiences, their feelings, and themselves. Topics are intended to supplement the writing program and are especially suitable to journal and portfolio approaches. This valuable educational experience helps both in the development of writing skills and in the development of self-understanding.

Student Activities
Students freewrite on a regular basis. Topics are diverse and appeal to the interests of specific grade levels. Prompts are designed to yield a half- to full-page journal entry in a five- to ten-minute writing period. In all, this unit contains more than 1,800 writing prompts!
