Students learn how to translate personal experiences into well-written, creative pieces as they explore various poetic forms and then focus on prose pieces that range from verbal sketches and anecdotes to a complete short story. Evaluation and revision activities are included. Students are encouraged to track independent progress with rubrics for self-assessment.
