You will discuss and share effective techniques for making Hamlet relevant and engaging to today’s students. Key to the discussions will be the role of the ghost as a catalyst in the play. You’ll use Hamlet’s soliloquies to analyze his character and his state of mind and to explore his relationships with other characters in the play.

Participants will also be asked to articulate their position on teaching Hamlet to high school students and to analyze the thematic implications of the piece as a whole.
