A Passage to India
A Passage to India is set during British rule in India. Two English women visit the country with the intent to know the real India. While visiting, a mysterious experience at a cave leads one of the women to accuse an Indian doctor of molesting her. Actions reveal the chasms that separate the English from the Indians and the difficulties of friendships that attempt to span those chasms. There is emphasis on identity, patriotism, justice, and prejudice.
