Joseph and his family are forced to flee from their native Ukraine to the Polish city of Krakow in the thirteenth century. Joseph discovers that his father has a secret passed down to him from previous generations. This secret places the family in danger. Joseph, through courage and determination, saves his father from being killed for the secret.
