The Hound of the Baskervilles
In The Hound of the Baskervilles, Sherlock Holmes and his associate, Dr. Watson, are faced with one of the most difficult cases of their careers. The two sleuths are confronted with a spectral dog of death that has been a curse of the Baskerville family for over two hundred years. With the recent death of Sir Charles Baskerville, Holmes has been approached by an acquaintance of the Baskerville family concerning the case. Set in the late 1800s, the novel will interest students in the era in will interest students in the era in which the great detective lived. Students will become detectives by examining evidence, developing a working hypothesis, and drawing conclusions.
