Description:
This novel explores death and grief through the story of Conrad, who struggles to accept his brother’s accidental death. After returning home from a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt, Conrad alienates himself from his father, Calvin Jarret, and his best friend, Joe Lazenby while dealing with his anger, guilt, and self-hatred. Through the novel, Conrad struggles to accept his brother’s death and affirms his right to go on living in spite of the loss.
