Global Education
These high school units focus on the fact that American students are members of a pluralistic national community—without an awareness and acceptance of differences in cultures and values and a concerned response to socially significant issues, the benefits of their education are seriously limited. The series concentrates on the concepts of making responsible decisions, exercising freedom of thought and choice, and examining evidence and conflicting viewpoints. The lessons are intended to inspire students to think on a global scale and to act on the local level.
