By demonstrating how interests and skills relate to possible career choices, four or five age-appropriate lessons for each grade level from kindergarten through grade five build knowledge of the world of work. Kindergartners learn about the different tools and vehicles used by workers, first graders match hobbies to careers, grade two students consider various career options, and third graders take into account personal interests. Fourth graders investigate the relationship between careers and lifestyle and complete a "World of Goals" booklet. In grade five, students assess their own personality types and create career maps depicting their career journeys. Each detailed lesson plan is correlated to ASCA standards.
