D-DAY 360

The program strips D-Day back to its raw data to reveal the incredible obstacles that the 150,000 Allied troops who landed that day on the beaches of Normandy had to negotiate. In addition to meticulously re-creating the landscape and presenting views that pull back for the big picture and zoom in to a close-up of a single soldier on the battlefield, the program also traces the historical background of D-Day and uses personal stories of individual soldiers to give a new perspective on what the battle was like for the troops on the ground.
