ECONOMICS MADE EASY

In one simulation, students receive “paychecks” and then budget for housing, transportation, insurance, and consumer purchases; their choices are affected by the business cycle and a supply/demand curve. In another, players become members of a community—from the wealthy doctor to the widow on a small pension—who must cooperate to resolve a tax crisis. In a third simulation, students form and operate partnerships and corporations. The other simulations deal with entrepreneur borrowers vs. “the Fed” and international trade, currencies, and economic crises. Includes daily teaching directions and reproducible pages for students. Players: entire class. Time: 5–10 hours each.
