EXPLORING HISTORY THROUGH PRIMARY SOURCES
Connect with a representative to create a custom curriculum for your district.
Meeting NCSS standards for primary source documents, these unique collections enable students to study and interpret the past by means of eight photographs (8½" x 11") and eight outsized pictorial and written documents.
These include maps, letters, posters, official documents, newspaper stories, examples of art and illustration, literary works, and more. In addition to 16 primary sources, each kit contains an 80-page teacher’s guide with multilevel lesson plans for each source. Reproducible readings and student worksheets are provided with the plans, along with extended learning activities and a section to help students prepare for document-based questions on standardized tests. The companion CD-ROM has photographs plus added sources, activity sheets, extensions, and links to websites. Collections are housed in sturdy decorated boxes with Velcro snaps.
