With this game—designed with the busy counselor in mind—students can learn about one of five friendship-building social skills in as little as one 15-minute round. As students drive from town to town, they collect friends by correctly answering questions, while also having their travel interrupted or helped along by drawing bonus cards. Game cards address skills such as using humor appropriately in social situations, resolving conflicts, participating in groups, showing respect and fairness, and conversing with others. A facilitator’s guide has rules, objectives, and discussion questions. The boxed materials include a 17" square board, cards, playing pieces, and a reproducible skills sheet. Players: 2–6. Time: 15–75 minutes. Grades 1–5. Franklin Learning Systems. ©2006.
