LET’S GET RATIONAL
Board game
This counseling tool, based loosely on the theories of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, aims to improve self-esteem, encourage self-disclosure, and promote rational decision making. Moving around the board, players pick up role-play cards about conflict resolution situations and "rational reminder" cards that have players cite ways to apply positive concepts to their own lives. All the while, players land on squares that stress group and self-affirmation techniques. Contents include a 15½" x 21" board, playing pieces, and cards. Players: 3–6. Grades 7–12. LGR. Revised edition.
“A simple and enjoyable game that helps teach people some of the main principles of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. This is a game counselors have been waiting for and is truly the only game in existence that teaches emotional education to those who choose to play.”—world-renowned psychologist Albert Ellis, the originator of REBT
