Each guide puts the work into historical context, then presents an overview; a character list; an analysis of major characters; a discussion of themes, motifs, and symbols; a summary and analysis of the different parts of the work; explanations of important quotations; and a 25-question multiple-choice quiz with answers provided. The guides also contain a section on literary analysis that includes a step-by-step essay-writing guide, suggested essay topics, a model student essay, and a glossary of literary terms. Grades 9–12.
