TEAMWORK
An Interactive Team Building Unit
Downloadable version (16.6 MB)
DownloadStudents discover the value of teamwork as they participate in several different group situations, learning how to communicate, listen, identify and resolve conflicts, and set common goals to accomplish tasks. Behavior Style Assessments determine their strengths as Coaches, Star Players, Managers, or Spectators. This also brings an understanding of the nature of conflict and group dynamics. On the Touchdown Tournament Scoreboard, students perform a daily evaluation of their personal and group goals, and the Goal Achievement Plan helps them set standards for themselves. The teacher’s guide includes procedures, handout masters, and sample forms; student guides serve as logbooks for recording progress and give activity guidelines. The unit runs for six class periods, with an optional seventh day for an awards banquet. Grades 4–8. Interact.
