THE AP ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE RELEASED EXAMS
LITERATURE & COMP: 2009 exam, key
These actual examinations with answer keys and analysis give teachers and students alike a representative feel of the AP exams in English. The tests consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions and free-response questions come in sets of 10 for student practice. The teacher’s guides, in addition to the correct answers, indicate the percentage who answered each question correctly to help gauge the question’s relative difficulty. This is followed by representative essay responses to the free-response section at several score levels, from poor to excellent, with an analysis of why they were so graded. Also discussed is the elaborate system of readers set up by the College Board to ensure maximum fairness and objectivity in scoring the exams.
