Designed to complement many standard textbooks, PowerZone CD-ROMs create a 3-D quizbowl complete with scoreboards, animation, and sound effects.
Each CD can generate hundreds of multiple-choice questions to which point values are assigned for correct answers. The computer reads both the question stem and choices in a clear voice. PowerZone is ideal for competitive team play, but individuals or small groups can also use it for extra-credit assignments, make-up work, or test preparation. Teachers can set game length, choose parameters of play, and select questions by textbook chapters, units, or national standards. One CD containing the PowerZone game engine is included with the set as well as with each individual program.
