ARCHETYPES IN LIFE, LITERATURE, AND MYTH

Twelve lessons challenge advanced placement and honors English literature students to apply what they learn about archetypal patterns to a wide variety of literary forms, from Whitman’s “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom’d,” Niehardt’s Black Elk Speaks, and Faulkner’s “The Bear” to the “Disney version” of Pocahontas.
