BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT

Using graphic organizers to focus on key information, students learn the makeup and primary responsibilities of each branch, how the Constitution is amended, the role of the Electoral College, and the process of impeachment. Students share what they’ve learned with their classmates and participate in interactive exercises to understand the government’s balance of power and discover how a bill becomes a law (includes a 30"h x 20"w poster). A whole-class game of Jeopardy helps students review for a final assessment. Includes two levels of lessons on the same topics: one that covers the basics, and another that goes into more depth.
