A range of economic concepts is distilled into 18 relatable, real-world lessons that better students' critical thinking and research skills.
Each standards-based lesson consists of a reading introducing the concept and pertinent vocabulary, an assessment (matching, fill-in-the-blank, and a writing prompt) on the reading, primary source activities on the concept’s historical connections, research-based activities reinforcing the concept (e.g., a presentation on Social Security’s origins, a display of various materials historically used as money), and a teacher page of print and online resources and standards.
