They will participate as 16th century crew members who have to find the most advantageous routes on transoceanic voyages. Navigation lessons, background history, and quizzes will help students through their journeys, as it gives them a thorough background of the history of the Caribbean area during the early exploration and colonization period. The full simulation runs for 17 class periods, but can be shortened by assigning tasks as homework.
