As Staab works, fascinating information is uncovered not only about Otzi himself (he had dark eyes and a predisposition for heart disease), but about the practices of Stone Age people (for example, his many tattoos were likely meant to relieve physical pain like arthritis, and one of the mushrooms he had with him could have been used as an antiseptic).
