The political globe uses color to plainly indicate national boundaries, and arrows show the patterns of ocean currents. The topographical globe uses color and shading to show climate/terrain regimes such as deserts, jungles, prairies, mountains, and ice; national boundaries are sometimes obscured by natural features. Fully inflated, each globe measures 16″ in diameter. Revised after the creation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, before Nunavut.
