A Simulation of Inventors and the Invention Process

DownloadTransform your classroom into a room full of inventors. Students gain insight into the creative process of inventing as they research inventors and discover how their ideas have changed our lives. They practice the creative process by brainstorming, tinkering, and actually creating their own inventions. They patent, advertise, and market their products and defend them when faced with a Consumer Advocacy Group composed of their classmates. Students introduce their invention at a special Thomas Edison Day open house. Grades 4–8. A 15-day schedule is outlined, but it can be modified. Interact.
