LOOK MOM! I HAVE GOOD MANNERS

A hyperkinetic host communicates the dos and don’ts of basic etiquette in a quick-moving game-show format. Watching kids demonstrate a series of behaviors, viewers accrue points by correctly guessing which examples constitute good (or bad) manners. Every right answer is followed by a brief explanation of why it is (or isn’t) acceptable. Segments look at five areas of manners: mealtime, the telephone, playtime, school, and health. Interstitial "commercial breaks" reinforce polite phrases or concepts, such as "Excuse me," "I’m sorry," and respecting others’ property. Grades 1–4. Color. 30 minutes. Thinkeroo. ©2004.
