MOCK TRIALS
Connect with a representative to create a custom curriculum for your district.
Focusing on important issues, these simulations require students to read, speak, analyze, reason, think critically, and apply interpersonal skills as they explore the link between the Constitution and our legal system.
Each case includes pre-activity discussion materials, a situation statement, charges, legal citations, related case law, witness statements, scene diagrams, and directions for holding a pretrial hearing and mock trial. Role descriptions, rules of evidence, trial procedures, and criteria for scoring are given. Includes some reproducible handouts. The CD-ROM version contains four additional trials involving issues such as grand theft, vehicular manslaughter, freedom of speech and association, homicide, and memory reliability.
