This meticulously crafted simulation divides students into six families (African American, Hispanic American, Jewish American, Asian American, Native American, Irish American) to do assignments in five areas: famous people, cultural projects, holidays, literature, and effects of discrimination.
The 36 student guides (six per family) include cultural essays and expanded directions for ethnic-oriented activities. The 33-page reproducible teacher guide has setup directions, a unit time chart, daily lesson plans, handouts, and ideas for an optional neighborhood festival. Players: 12–36.
