Assembling their own classroom planetarium, student teams prepare scale and larger working models of the eight planets, asteroids, dwarf planets of the Kuiper Belt (including Pluto), and comets. Guided by easy-to-follow, self-directed concept pages, students explore and demonstrate the basic mechanics of the solar system, daily and annual time, the Zodiac, and the inner planets as so-called morning/evening stars.
