A reproducible “how-to-do-it” sheet gives complete instructions for converting the story summaries into play form. Also included are ready-to-use Readers Theatre-format plays of six of the tales. Gathered from five continents and a wide variety of cultures, the enchanting and often hilarious narratives include “The Stone with Whiskers” (from Africa), “The Doko” (from Nepal), “The Three Words of Advice” (from Greece), “The Little Guava” (from Mexico), “A Father, a Son, and a Donkey” (from Cambodia), and “Johnny Appleseed.”
