REVOLUTIONARY WAR, 1775–1781

The left side of the map shows battles fought in the colonies; the right side shows battles fought near Britain. Both sides identify land and sea battles that were British victories, Patriot or French victories, or ones with no clear victor. The map of the colonies also displays cities occupied by the British and Indian nations allied with the British. An inset contains a pie chart that shows the percentages of colonists who were Loyalists, Patriots, or neutral.
