On a journey to Rhyme Square Village, student groups earn points by completing multidisciplinary activities—such as counting Little Boy Blue's sheep, making Humpty Dumpty out of torn paper, and writing about their wishes upon Star Light, Star Bright for example—based around stalwarts including "Little Miss Muffet" and "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe."
Activities involve students in not only language arts, but also math, science, art, music, drama, and kinesthetics. The teacher’s guide has complete procedures and all handout masters, while the accompanying 22" x 33½" map serves as the game board. The entire book yields ten class periods of instruction, though nearly every activity may stand alone.
