When does social media usage cross the line from being a valuable form of connection and entertainment to becoming a dangerous addiction? Without pretending to have all the answers, teens discuss what social media addiction is, how prevalent a role various networks play in their lives, and the effects that online interactions have had in their offline lives. A licensed counselor weighs in on the symptoms of addiction and the harmful consequences that it feeds into, such as cyberbullying and social isolation, and offers advice for getting help.
