Teaching suggestions, activities, and worksheets guide students through the process of creating and executing service-learning projects. These invaluable tools require students to analyze issues found in the world around them, build plans to actively address those issues, develop proposals to promote their plans, design procedures for implementation, and then execute the service-learning project, evaluate its effectiveness, and publicize the results. The unit typically runs for 7–11 class periods but may be shortened or lengthened based on need.
