THE ENVIRONMENT

Students become documentary filmmakers—without needing prior knowledge of filmmaking. Supplying raw footage for students to cut into their own original short documentary films, this innovative curriculum guides students step-by-step as they research their topic, analyze the issues, make persuasive arguments, and create one-minute movies to communicate their conclusions. Each standards-based unit provides—in addition to two hours of raw footage per topic—a how-to-make-a-movie video, worksheets, flow charts, templates, activity ideas, and assessment rubrics.
