This documentary puts her personal story into the wider context of the Holocaust in the Netherlands, where righteous Christian rescuers hid the six-year-old girl and her sister—along with an estimated 5000 more Jewish children. Historic photos and footage combine with modern location footage and interviews with survivors (including Peter Meerburg, who dropped out of college to hide 300 children) to give history a personal human dimension.
