THE WISDOM OF GIRLS

A 22-year-old with an eight-year old son and five-year old daughter, a 17-year old virgin, and other real teenage girls speak candidly about tough issues relating to sex, with the intention of preventing teenage pregnancy. Providing viewers with the ability to understand themselves and what is best for them, interviews and group discussions deal with reasons why girls have sex; the emotional and physical consequences of having sex; birth control; where to get help; and why teenage girls should abstain. Each section of the program provides written activities and open-ended questions such as, "If you are in the heat of the moment and don’t have protection, what can you do or say?" Grades 9–12.
