Highlighting research on the effects of tobacco, medical experts explain—with accompanying digital simulations—how tobacco and nicotine affect the brain, why people smoke, how addiction forms, why quitting is so hard, and why teens are at greater risk for long-lasting addiction. Six real-life teens share their personal experiences with smoking, dependence, and addiction. A ten-question "Hooked on Nicotine" checklist prompts viewers to question whether they are addicted to tobacco. The program concludes with advice from the medical experts on how to quit smoking.
