From a brief history of America’s love affair with cigarettes——omplete with ancient TV commercials and happily smoking movie stars (now dead)—the program calls on doctors and scientists who explain how tobacco harms the body (90 percent of lung cancer deaths are smoking related), why smoking and chewing are so addictive, and what steps users can take to break their habit.
