VERDICT

Two backpacking college students are charged with starting a forest fire and are put on trial-your students decide the verdict. Some of the activities include role-playing judges, lawyers, jurors, college students, witnesses or reporters (using Confidential Identity Information Sheets provided), participating in the trial, waiting for the jury verdict and for the reporters to write their stories, and participating in a culminating debriefing. The time required can be changed according to your students’ needs.
