CHILD LABOR

This set of documentary photographs examines the efforts of the two million children who provided manual labor at the turn of the 20th century. Though condemned by many crusaders, the practice of working 70–90 hours per week in unsafe factories was not ended until technology began forcing adults out of work, and education for children became compulsory.
